Helping Mothers Survive training by ICM in Cape Town

60 midwifes were trained in the Helping Mothers Survive Bleeding After Birth program by
ICM in Cape Town, December 2013. The one and a half day training took the participants
through the third stage of labor and possible complications that can occur.

The learners got familiar with MamaNatalie
so that they could conduct trainings
once they return to their home countries.

Skills and techniques based on the most
recent guidelines were demonstrated.

The course is designed to help learners master
competencies needed to safely and effectively
prevent, detect and manage postpartum hemorrhage.

After the training all 60 participants received a
MamaNatalie Birthing Simulator
from the Buy One Gift One pool.
